Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power Hand Vacuum Review

by Mike Duncan

The Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power Hand Vac, in my opinion is a great mid range hand held vacuum cleaner that works very well because it has several great attachment pieces. In terms of suction power, the Dirt Devil M0914 gives a 15.6 volts of sucking edge over other lower voltage hand-helds. That means more heavy duty sucking in your home or car.

Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power is built with a 1-1/2-inch nozzle and comes with a wall-mountable charging base, Quick-Flip™ crevice tool as well as a retractable brush. What I dig most about Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power is its 3-year warranty. When it comes to electronic equipments it is always good to have a longer guarantee just in case anything screws up (knock on wood).

I like the Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power™ mainly because of its suction power. It does a great job of picking up dirt and coarse cat litter without blowing them all over the place. I like this powerful little bugger for cleaning my car. This keeps my car spotlessly clean when I use the the handy dandy flip down crevice tool for both upholstery and dashboard. The Quick-Flip™ crevice device, is stuck onto the machinery itself.

It is an awesome idea and I can see how anyone would use it on a daily basis since it is so accessible. The other tool that it comes with is its expendable brush tool. This is really handy for cleaning car mats, which I use from time to time. Car mats are one of the first thing which people tend to notice when they first get into the car. So I need to make sure that they are clean enough for my standards.

Not only is Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power™ good for the car, it’s great for use at home. I have a had experiences with electronic hand-held vacs that failed on me due to the massive amount of cat litter around the house. But this hand held vacs makes cleaning up floor dust and litter tracking so much easier with a flip of a switch. I like the ingenuousness of a built-in crevice tool device as I hate searching around the house for attachments. That can be a real time waster.

Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power™ is really durable, as long as great care is taken when using the Quick-Flip device, I think the hinge can do with some reinforcement. But so far so good, it hasn’t given me any problems yet and I hope to keen it that way. One charge reaps a suction time of 20 minutes, which is pretty average for a hand-held vac at this price range.

For people actually thinking of getting a Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power™, I would highly recommend charging it for the full time first round and using the the vacuum till the whole charge is gone down to nothing before recharging it. This way, the battery life will last longer and you will find Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power™ of great service for you for years to come.

All in all, a great little handheld vacuum that’s worth buying.
