Eureka 71B also allows more versatility when cleaning: turn off the rotating brush for hard surfaces cleaning or using the hose by itself. Eureka 71B’s bagless filter means a easy rinse-out dust cup for fuss free cleaning. You can also turn off the rotating brush when cleaning hard surfaces or using the hose.
Eureka 71B is great for pet owners who need serious pet hair control in their cars. Eureka 71B devours them up, dust, dog/cat/ human hair and what not all without question. Eureka 71B does amazingly well for pet hair and can easily handle the shedding from 3 cats.
The various attachments may seem redundant at first, but they really save the day with their little innovation in design and structure which does what the job calls for. Whether carpet or little nooks, Eureka 71B gets them all. What is neat about Eureka 71B is its clever design where the vacuum itself stores away the hose and crevice tool.
If your home has stairs, Eureka 71B has a nifty flip guard on its roller that allows easy vertical procession without reversing. If you fear that your unit will overheat, fear not because it has a built-in automatic shut-off function when the temperature goes over a certain limit (about 10 minutes).
Perhaps the only drawback for Eureka 71B is its weight. Weighing 5 pounds, Eureka 71B is rather heavy for hand-held vacuum cleaner. Perhaps this can be a good thing for those who like to build some muscles. Another plus about Eureka 71B is its long 20-foot cord. This allows you more reach and it also stows away easily on the unit itself. Eureka 71B has a disadvantage of being a tad bit too heavy. However, considering its powerful suction capability, its well worth it.
Also note that Eureka 71B is a corded unit that does not have the rechargeable hand held vacuum cleaner’s freedom of movement. This also means that there is no charging down time and also gradual battery failure which means gradual loss of suction power and the inevitable in all cordless hand held vacuums – eventual total battery failure. Eureka 71B will not overheat as it has a built-in automatic shut-off function when the temperature goes over a certain limit, which is about 10 minutes.
If you don’t mind this being a corded vacuum, I would highly recommend buying the Eureka 71B. It’s truly fantastic for its price and really worth every cent. You won’t regret it.
Price Alert: Right now Amazon.com is offering a 28% discount for the Eureka 71B Handheld Vacuum. This means their current price is $16 cheaper than the usual retail price.
