The Vacmaster VWM510 is a powerful consumer level wet/dry vac that is powered by a heavy duty industrial 2-stage 5 HP motor. It boasts an impressive 21 foot hose and a 20 foot power cord, which when combined give this vacuum exceptional reach both in the garage and out.
It also features a convenient remote control handle and all of the attachments you need for car detailing and general cleaning in and around the garage. It even converts to a blower to get rid of leaves. Finally, the entire unit including base, hose and accessories is compact and wall mountable, which keeps it out of the way until you need it.

My Experience with the Vacmaster VWM510
Alright now that the specs are out of the way, you’re probably looking for the answer to the million dollar question: how well does it work in the real world? The answer is that it works amazingly well! I’ve had this vacuum for about three months now and after putting it through its paces, I can honestly say it’s one of, if not the best wet/dry vacs I’ve ever tried.
I use it every weekend to detail both of our cars from end to end, cleaning air vents, upholstery, floor mats, seat crevices, trunks and all the other nooks and crannies that accumulate dust, debris and dirt. I’ve also used it to clean up wood chips and dust around my miter saw and even an inch of water after the washing machine overflowed and flooded our laundry room next to the garage. This vac performed flawlessly each and every time!
Pros
- Extra-long hose and power cord (21’ and 20’ respectively)
- Wet/dry capability and acts as a blower too
- Compact design and wall mountable to save space
- Tons of extra attachments for a variety of tasks
- On/off remote control built right into the handle at the end of the hose
Cons
- No wheels on the base, which would come in handy when it’s not mounted
- Signals from garage door openers sometimes turn the vac on (leave it on neutral to eliminate this problem)

The Bottom Line
Overall I couldn’t be happier with my purchase of the Vacmaster VWM510. In just a few short months it has become indispensable around our garage and home. I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending this to anyone that needs a reliable wet/dry vac around their home and garage, or those who simply want to save money on their car detailing bills!
